Desktop client

Install once. Sync forever.

The MoveMyWork desktop client runs quietly in your system tray. Anything you copy syncs to your other devices within a second or two — text, links, and files up to 100 MB.

Download for Windows
Windows may warn you when opening the installer. Here's what to do.

MoveMyWork's installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" panel the first time you run it. This is normal for installers from small publishers — it doesn't mean anything is wrong with the file.

To continue:

  1. Click More info on the SmartScreen dialog.
  2. A Run anyway button appears. Click it.
  3. The installer opens and runs normally.

We're planning to add code signing once usage warrants it.

Want to verify the download?

On Windows, open PowerShell after downloading and run Get-FileHash MoveMyWork-Setup.exe. It should print this SHA-256:

c6c6b5022f8f6d2aa941720b2a49326ae28fd076b2b3f0852fe05ce2dc6f8e82

Mac and Linux versions are planned. For now, MoveMyWork works in any browser — sign in at movemywork.com to see your clips.

Getting set up

  1. Install it. Run the downloaded file and follow the installer. Takes about ten seconds.
  2. Grab your API token. Sign in on this site and go to Settings. Click "Copy" next to your API token.
  3. Paste it into the setup window. MoveMyWork opens a small setup window the first time you run it. Paste your token, give this device a name (something like "Work laptop"), and click Save.
  4. That's it. The app lives in your system tray now. Copy something on one device — it appears on your others within a second.
